Lock In A Deposit
Check It Out (3-Day Minimum)
Handover & Fast Payment
How it Works
Five simple steps to secure your Face-to-Face transaction
Step 1: Verified Identities
Both buyer and seller complete a quick ID check before meeting. Everyone knows who they're dealing with - no fake
names, no suprises.
Step 2: Seller deposit & fair-play protection
The seller pays a small, refundable deposit that only applies if they back out. It keeps both sides committed and ensures
no one loses unfairly.
Step 3: Buyer secures the payment
The buyer pays the full amount through Trust Toucan before the meetup. Funds are safely held while they clear, ready
for instant release once both sides confirm the deal.
Step 4: Meet, inspect & confirm
The buyer gets up to 5 days (minimum three busness days) to meet with and inspect or test the item, while funds remain securely held. Once the buyer's satisfied, they confirm in-app and sign the digital purchase agreement, locking in the funds.
Step 5: Hand over & instant payout
The seller completes the handover or ownership transfer, signs to confirm, and payment releases automatically.
Funds reach the seller usually within 30 minutes during business hours, or by the next business day - fast, secure and fully logged.
Why it Matters
For Buyers
Know that your funds are secure and the seller is verified. You're protected throughout the process, and have plenty of time to inspect and ensure you're completely satisfied.
For Sellers
Know that payment is real, verified, and can't be reversed. No more worrying about fake bank transfers or chargebacks. Once the buyer confirms, funds are secured immediately.
Proof of Protection
Every transaction includes verified IDs, a formalised digital purchase agreement, and a timestamped record of what was agreed. This provides strong documentation if there are later disputes or questions about what was sold.

While we don't guarantee a legally binding contract, this gives you the same kind of confidence you'd have when buying from a business, but adapted for private sales. You have proof, structure, and accountability — not just a handshake.
Safety Tips for In-Person Meetings
Always Meet in public
Choose busy, well-lit locations with other people around.
Take Time to Inspect
Don't rush. Check the item thoroughly before signing the agreement. If something doesn't match the description, you can walk away.
Trust Your Instincts
If something feels wrong, walk away. Your funds remain protected until both parties agree to complete the deal.
Don't Rush
Legitimate sellers won't pressure you. Take all the time you need to be completely satisfied before confirming the transaction.
