Why Trust Toucan was built:
Trust Toucan was founded after a real experience many people now recognise.
Our founder, Alex Beagrie, was scammed while trying to buy a car privately online. What stood out wasn’t just the loss, it was how common similar situations had become for sensible, experienced people buying and selling cars, watches and other high-value items through online marketplaces.
Most private transactions still rely on trust alone and Trust Toucan was built to add structure and reassurance where it’s missing without turning private sales into complicated, slow or over-regulated processes.
