How it Works

Five simple steps to secure your online transaction

Step 1: Verifies identities

Both buyer and seller complete a quick ID check before the payment starts. You always know exactly who's on the other end -
no fake accounts or hidden details.

Step 2: Seller deposit & fair-play protection

The seller pays a small, refundable deposit that only applies if they back out. It keeps both sides committed and ensures no one loses unfairly.

Step 3: Buyer sends payment

The buyer pays the full amount into Trust Toucan's secure holding account. Funds begin clearing straight away so they're
ready to release as soon as both sides confirm the deal.

Step 4: Item sent & buyer inspection period

The seller ships or delivers the item. The buyer gets up to 5 days (minimum three business days) to receive and inspect or test the item, while funds remain securely held.

Step 5: Buyer confirmation & instant payout

When the buyer's happy, they confirm and sign the digital purchase agreement. The seller is then able to transfer ownership (if required) and sign their side of the purchase agreement. Funds release automatically - arriving usually within 30 minutes during business hours or by the next business day.
